It's just a tad frightening, the size of this thing. "50 litre, expandable to 60 litre" sounds more like I would be able to carry my day's supply of coffee, water, and sav blanc, rather than 5 months worth of stuff.
Adrian, the lucky bugger, has an 85 litre pack, and will more than likely spend his entire trip in the same pair of shorts, rotating through 2 tshirts, wontcha? I really wanted something larger, but as the very good looking sales guy at whatever utilitarian travelling shop on travel-alley in the city advised, if I went any bigger, even the smallest setting would be to tall for me. So, miniature backpack it was.
It's a very lovely colour though, was on sale, and maybe Adrian can whack a pair of shoes in his pack for me? ;) He says he could probably put my shoes AND me in there, which might come in handy when it all gets a little tiring.
Wish I had have flirted with the sales guy more... wouldn't working in a travel shop be the most fabulous place to pick up people? If you don't like them, no matter! They are leaving soon! Hurrah!
